#2 Doubt

What color are your mother's eyes?
-My mother's eyes are blue. I rely on direct observation, which makes me sure of my answer.

Whom do you trust?
-I trust people who have never hurt me, and people who have been there for me when I needed them such as my boyfriend and my family members. I rely on intuition for this answer, and for that reason, this answer may change if the circumstances change.

What color is the ocean?
-The ocean appears to be blue in color; however, the color we see is only a reflection of the sky's color. In reality, the ocean is clear. For this answer, I rely on observation and scientific fact. I am certain about this answer because I have witnessed it. Sometimes, a lake that is surrounded by trees appears green.

Is there life after death?
-There is life after death. This answer comes from heresay. It is not a fact, just a mere opinion of my religion. It is definitely uncertain.

Is it always wrong to steal?
-It is always wrong to steal. The word "steal" has a negative connotation. If you are stealing, you are taking away from someone else. Personally, I do not see a way stealing could be right. This comes from intuition.

Is there life on other planets?
-There is not life on planets in our universe, however, there may be on other planets in other universes. This is just a personal opinion, and is quite uncertain.

Doubt #1

The people that have shaped my view of how the world works are my parents. Usually, children will take after their parents in beliefs and customs. Having been born in Israel, I have experienced many things that most American kids haven't. I've seen terrorist attacks and soldiers crowding the streets. I learned pretty early on that the world, sadly, wasn't a nice place. It would be a lot easier if people just accepted each other and worked together instead of being enemies. Life in the U.S. is a lot simpler, but the fact that there was a terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 shows that that life isn't as distant as we sometimes imagine it being.
